1. She was born July 1, 1955 in Philadelphia.
2. She attended the University of Pennsylvania and earned her degree in English (with a concentration in the Contemporary American Novel).
3. She then graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
4. She became a litigator but decided to stay at home after the birth of her daughter.
5. She started writing as a way to work from home; her first novel was entitled Everywhere That Mary Went.
6. She has since written 17 more books including a column collection; her latest novel, Think Twice, was released last month.
7. She writes a column called "Chick Wit" for The Philadelphia Inquirer; her column collection is called Why My Third Husband Will Be A Dog: The Amazing Adventures of an Ordinary Woman.
