1. He was born on April 14, 1979 and grew up in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
2. He attended college at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
3. He earned his MFA from Cornell University.
4. He has taught creative writing and English at various places including Cornell and Northwestern University.
5. His first collection of stories, Trouble, was published in 2006.
6. His first novel, The Cradle, was published in 2009.
